John Legend fans were bummed when he postponed his fall tour last year, choosing instead to devote his attention to finishing his upcoming album Love in the Future.  And while there's no word yet on when the project will arrive in stores, John took to Twitter on Tuesday to offer his fans something to hold them over in the meantime.

"You’ve been waiting long enough, this is just 'The Beginning,' he tweeted, referring to the title of his new single, "The Beginning."

The echoing track features John, who's engaged to model Chrissy Teigen, singing about love at first sight that turns into something more.  "It's the beginning of forever/ you don't have to go/ sometimes you just know," he sings.

John's fourth studio album, Love in the Future, is due out later this year.
